Project: Catapult provides retail outlets and hospitality chains with the tech to ensure they are always able to fill shifts, both by better distributing shifts to their own workforce and leveraging Catapult’s nationwide workforce.

The Catapult app lets people access shifts with great brands and enables them to choose when, where, and how they work. In addition, companies can better manage their workforce, keep recruitment costs down, and increase productivity.

Catapult has helped many retail outlets drastically reduce their level of unfilled shifts and supports traditional high street powerhouses in reinventing themselves during a time where the part-time work landscape has changed so much. 

With this in mind, the business identified a need to quickly develop a PR strategy which would tell this story in the right way and position Catapult as the go-to authority in the retail staffing market. However, the team was struggling to find a trusted freelancer who had relevant experience in this area.

After taking a clear brief, CommsPeople worked closely with the Catapult team to source 3 potential PR freelancers with relevant sector experience, who could deliver high-impact results and fall within the outlined budget requirements. 

Following the Catapult interview process, one of our freelancers was selected to provide PR consultation and a high-level media strategy to the business on an ongoing basis.
